To perform a simple redirect to another php page I've been successfully using something along
the lines of:
<?php
...
exit("<script>location=\"./mypage.php?id=$id\";</script>");
?>
The one advantage I find this has over using the header function is that even when header
information has previously been sent (in my case this happens during some debugging routines I use),
the redirect still goes ahead.
