I encountered problems with the header function after compiling php with --enable-mbstring
,--enable-mbstr-enc-trans and --enable-mbregex and setting mbstring.http_output = UTF-8 in php.ini.
Afterwards, things like header('Location: index.php') did not work anymore (e.g. in
phpmyadmin). The solution was to put mb_http_output("pass"); in the front of documents
sending headers.
