I visited a site with a list of links, most were 404s because it was so old. So I wanted to include a self updating script that would check the links and remove bad ones. I tried the script on one link and it reported it ti be ok, but it wasnt. This was the following header. HTTP/1.1 302 Found Date: Wed, 17 Mar 2004 11:47:22 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) Location: http://www.earthlink.net/error/404.html Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Age: 0 Connection: close Via: HTTP/1.1 ntl-site (Traffic-Server/5.2.2-59134 [cMsSf ]) I assume this is because of custom 404 pages. Therefore I have adjusted mine to only check for "200 OK" and not just 404s for it to be bad. Can someone point me towards a list of the codes and what they mean, or if there are other "good" codes to check for valid pages. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.file-exists.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+40860 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+40860&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+40860&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
