This is a silly thing, but it can drive you crazy if you do not read the warning above.
<?php
$array = array(0 => 'blue', 1 => 'red', 2 => 'green', 3 =>
'red');
$key = array_search('blue', $array); // $key = 2;
echo $key;
if($key==FALSE){
echo "FALSE";
}else{
echo "TRUE";
}
?>
It will print FALSE.
Use this coding instead:
<?php
$array = array(0 => 'blue', 1 => 'red', 2 => 'green', 3 =>
'red');
$key = array_search('blue', $array); // $key = 2;
//$key = array_search('red', $array); // $key = 1;
echo $key;
if($key===FALSE){
echo "FALSE";
}else{
echo "TRUE";
}
?>
It will return TRUE
