[ Editor's note: When passing multiple args in a URL like this, be sure to enclose the URL in
quotes otherwise the & will be interpreted as a detachment flag and the rest of the command will
be truncated. ]
The lynx browser can be used as simple way of executing a script from a remote location without
waiting for it to complete:
$command = "/usr/bin/lynx -dump https://www.anotherserver.com?var=blah
>/dev/null &";
exec($command);
</quote>
Can anyone please give me a working example on specifying multiple arguments?
I can have a script send me a mail, but not if I specify args.
$command = "/usr/bin/lynx -dump 'https://www.anotherserver.com?var=blah&var2=doh'
>/dev/null &";
exec($command);
This doesn't work for me, what is wrong?
TIA
