unless I am doing something stupid, my testing (at least on php 4.3.4) seems to indicate that
sleep() does indeed count towards script execution time, contrary to the previous post.
Here is my test code:
for ($i=0; $i < 10; $i++) {
sleep(10);
echo " [$i] ";
}
This will exceed execution time after only 2 loops.
