This code for logging out (posted by Paul) did the job for me, however the user would be prompted to
log in again and would then have to press OK three times to successfully log out (in Internet
Explorer), so it's far from waterproof. In Opera, closing the login prompt is enough. I would
recommend the links to Dev Shed's article mentioned earlier if you need a reliable
authentication method.
