If you are dynamically generating music playlists for use in Winamp, and you call session_start()
before outputting the playlist, Winamp (v3, v5) will not be able to automatically open the playlist
if you are using Internet Exploder.
For example:
<?php
session_start();
header('Content-type: audio/mpegurl');
header('Content-disposition: attachment; filename="Wilco - Kamera.m3u"');
echo "#EXTM3U\r\n";
echo "#EXTINF:210,Kamera\r\n";
echo "http://www.someserver.com/Wilco-Kamera.mp3\r\n";
?>
If you simply remove the session_start(), then it works. You can also just choose to
"save" the playlist, rather than "open" it, and then it will work when you load
the saved file into Winamp.
However, it works just fine with sessions in Netscape 7. It seems that the returned HTTP headers
from the session_start() call confuse IE... another IE bug?
Does anyone know how to make this work *with* the session_start() still enabled, for IE?
