I'm new to PHP so I was experimenting with include(). I noticed (for me) a strange behaviour. I
discovered that, after a couple of days, my script was running very very very slow. Then I
discovered more than 3000 of little files in my Windows\\Temp directory. I noticed that every time I
use include() like this: <?php include 'http://127.0.0.1/test/index.php?id=3&t=1'
?> a file was created in my Windows\\Temp directory each time with a different name: php2A.tmp,
php51.tmp, phpD1.tmp... etc. Every file contains the HTML output from the index.php. I replaced
include() with require() and, as I expected, the same result. The same applies to include_once() and
require_once(). Then I tried <?php readfile('http://127.0.0.1/test/index.php?id=3&t=1')
?> and the problem was solved.
I have no idea why this happens, but is very annoying and it can slow down your script. I got many
timeout errors. I hope this will help. I'm running WinXP Pro, PHP 4.3.4. and Apache 1.3.29.
