note 42238 added to function.mysql-pconnect

I am trying to have this web application package called "Gallery" run correctly on my Fedora 1 box (I am sure you all have heard of Gallery application). I think I am doing everything correctly, but I am getting the following error, and no matter what I do, I can't seem to find what is causing it. If someone can give me some guidance, that would be great.
