The formatted date using the date string "Y-m-d\TH:i:sO" would probably not be iso 8601 in
certain case. The O switch returns difference in time in the form +hhmm, whereas iso 8601 requires
(if i remember correctly) the difference in time to be in the form +hh:mm.
