php functions that rely on the underlying *nix stat() call, such as file_exists, can fail for extremely large files on some unix implementations. This is not a bug in php AFIK, but a caution for unix users. A file_exists on a DVD-sized .iso image on linux (kernel 2.4.x) for example, returns: stat failed for <filename> (errorno=75: value too large for defined datatype) ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.file-exists.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+42502 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+42502&report=yes Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+42502&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
