It's important to note that if your string contains word delimiters other than spaces, this
won't work as expected. Would be nice to have an extra parameter? :)

is left unchanged unless you use the cut, in which case nine times out of ten it lops off one of
your numbers in the middle, leaving two numbers that don't add up.
