Please take note, that while checking the e-mail addresses of international users one should allow
for 1-letter long domain names, such as http://www.a.pl/ (it's
an existing domain and username@a.pl is a valid e-mail address.)
The regexps I've seen usually require at least 2 characters in a domain name, as it is required
for .com, .org and other US/international TLDs. That's doesn't have to be the case with
national TLD operators, who set their own rules.
