note 43393 added to function.unlink

i am trying to delet file by
unlink("file name");
but it doesnt delet it
then i tried
if (is_file("file name")){
unlink("file_name")
}else{
print "not file";
}
it print the "not file" and dosent delet the file
same one know the resone?
