I would just like to say that I am a complete noob with php, ive just started to get really serious
about learning many of the functions and seeing what i can do.
Anyway, I was writing one of my first scripts, its purpose was to see how long it took for a page to
load. Not complicated at all. At first i was using the "explode" function, but then as I
was browsing php.net, i found the split function. It seemed to do the exact same thing. So, I
substituted split for explode, and voila. It still worked. Also, the page loaded faster. The faster
loading could be a coincidence I guess, it might not have anything to do with the function. But
anyway, I just thought I would share this with you all in case you were curious. Feel free to email
me if you think this was all a load of crap! =D

PS: One more advantage to the split function over the explode function is that its easier to
remember the name. ;)
