note 44245 added to language.variables.predefined

I would like to build a restricted section with some CMS capabilities on my website using sessions, php4.3 and mysql. I wonder if anyone knows of a rock solid tutorial for this. The intranetjournal: http://www.intranetjournal.com/articles/200407/ij_07_06_04a.html is a start, but Zeidman is taking too long to present the article ( over several months it looks like... ).
