Like many others, i've been developing my own ways to plot statistics & other kinds of
graphs using php. I used gnuplot to do this, which is a small command-line plotting program. When I
moved the code to a new server (php version changed from 4.1.2-6 to 4.3.4-4), something weird
happened: gnuplot stopped outputting the images. I didn't get my precious graph.png, and I
didn't get errormessages neither. I've tried just about everything I can think of, and
eventually it turns out that it does work when I use the commandline php4, but not when requested
from the web. I'm stuck. I've searched the mailinglist and found an email sent in 2000,
someone with the same problem. That's all I could find. He didn't get an answer, the
places I have been can't give me an answer - and I'm dazzled. This is not a question,
bugreport of a request of any kind, but at least if you're having the same problem, you know
you're not alone...
