csjpeter at freemail dot hu has it right. His solution works with XP and Apache 2.0 and PHP 5.0.
I couldn't get mysql to worh with php5, since php5 does not contain mysql support by default.
When I tried to start apache and everything was set 'properly', I got this message :
"PHP Startup: Unable to load library 'C:/php/php_mysql.dll' - Module not found
The path was correct. The problem was that apache couldn't find the libmysql.dll file.
If you have the proper paths loaded you can put libmysql.dll in
Apache/ - apache's root
Apache/bin/ - apache's binary directory
if you don't have apache paths, you can always put it in
Windows/system32/ libmysql.dll
Once you do this, it works like a charm.
