There should be no problem with downloading taking longer when Content-Length does not include
`bytes,' but you should instead use:
<?php
//...
$size = filesize ("$filename");
header ("Accept-Ranges: bytes")
header ("Content-Length: " . $size);
?>
That should solve the problem.
