This is on Windows Server 2003, running Apache 2.0.4.8, with PHP 4.3.3.
Make sure your php4ts.dll is in the same directory as php4apache2.dll. It wasn't obvious to me
as to what was going wrong - Apache2 dumped this message to the system log along the lines of
"Could not find php4apache2.dll" which actually meant that it could not find the
php4ts.dll that php4apache2.dll referenced to. Putting them both in the Apache2 modules directory
with php.ini in your Apache2 root directory worked like a charm.
The distribution does not come with both these files in the same place, and the Apache2 error
message is really un-helpful.
I hope this helps someone out there.
