DO NOT USE TIME()
This manual and all the examples given are WRONG!
Either this manual is wrong or PHP itself is WRONG!
Max-Age is "seconds till expiry" NOT "seconds since Epoch".
It used to be that you set expiry with a GMT general date.
However this didn't work well as there is a no guarantee that
the server and client date will be set exactly the same.
So....
They changed the standard and now instead of "Expiry" we
have "Max-Age". Which is "NUMBER OF SECONDS TILL
EXPIRY". This gets rid of the client-server issues and allows
developers to set accurate expiry times on the client.
PLEASE UPDATE THIS MANUAL TO THE CORRECT
INFORMATION AS IT IS SPREADING EVERYONE AND IS WRONG.
And you wonder why people have to resort to the old GMT
general date stuff.......
