I just installed php5. (on my windows XP system. I have been running 4.3 no problem)
My Problem:
I get the error: warning PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library
'c:/php5/php_mysql.dll' - The specified procedure could not be found.
Apparently, it cannot locate my extensions. (php runs, but for instance, I can't run any mysql
queries, etc.)
I changed my Apache conf file to reflect the new installation.
In php.ini
1. It could not find extensions when using the default (and it looked in c:/php5, as the
installation manual states it will do).
2. I then changed the extension_dir setting to the c:/php5 directory. No luck.
3. I changed the php directory name from c:/php5 tp c:/php and changed the php.ini extension_dir
command to reflect this. No luck. As well as changing the direction of the slashes (from \ to / and
back again).
4. I have even copied the extension directory elsewhere on my drive and then changing the
extension_dir command to reflect this. Again, no luck.
5. I also changed the autoexec.bat path statement and included c:/php5 (as well as the old c:/php).
No impact.
What am I missing? Any ideas?
Thanks!
