Backticks operator is similar to double quotes: you have variable parsing and you can concatenate
strings (for instance, for inserting a function):
<?
$data['command']='ls';
$data['folder']='/tmp';
echo
{$data['command']} -al {$data['folder']};
echo ls -al . escapeshellarg('/tmp');
?>
