hi,
for ppl who got the error:
Fatal error: Unable to load Java Library /opt/java/j2sdk1.4.2/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so, error:
/opt/java/j2sdk1.4.2/jre/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol JVM_GetClassName, version SUNWprivate_1.1 not
defined in file libjvm.so with link time reference in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/java.php on line 3
u could try
ldd -d /path/to/jre/i386/server/libjvm.so
on command line.. then
change java.library to /path/to/jre/i386/server/libjvm.so
(i am not sure which of the both does the trick.. but it worked after i tried them..)
i run redhat 9.0 with apache1.3.29 php 4.3.4
