HI!
some of the scripts for deleting non-empty dir's use file_exists() before deleting or changing
into the dir. that's a good idea so far, but i encountered the problem that the result of
file_exists() is cached (which can be a problem if a subdirectory is named like the one above) so i
believe it's no mistake to call clearstatchache() before file_exits()
