To remove a directory as a shell script the use the following:
#! /usr/bin/php -q
<?
exec ("rm -rf /path/to/directory");
?>
This is a little better than the note above since some *NIX systems ask for confirmation. Since we
are forcing a deletion of the file/directory no qualification is required.
