I have experienced some problems with this function when writing a sentance to a database, the
funtion will parse the '&' in for example '"' (after the function
has already parsed "), returning '"'!
This can easily be fixed when printing the content back out on the screen:
$print_sentance = ereg_replace('&', '&',
$row["sentance"]);
