I have been having problems with register_globals being set to On on a shared server, so until the
PHP code I'm using is PHP4 compliant, then I have set register_globals set to Off in the
server's php.ini (in /etc), but have an entry in the .htaccess file of :-
php_value register_globals 1
This works OK for now.
