Trying to upgrade from PHP4 to PHP5 and make it continue to use the MySQL 5 Database in my Apache 2
on my XP Home Edition OS ().
Everytime I load the page I kept getting the message
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in <path>"
I fought for 3 hours trying to figure out this TINY detail.
In the php.ini file line 508. Under "Paths and Directories".
The line that says :
extension_dir = "./"
This needs to be changed to :
extension_dir = "./ext/"
So all the "Dynamic Extensions" on line 585 can find the actually DLLs it needs, and not
the base ones located in the PHP home directory. Which won't load BTW. :)
I'm not sure of a better way to state this.
