The above code appears to run flawlessly, although when put to the test there appears to be a hole
in it. Every time a domain known not to exist is typed in without a proper ending (i.e. leaving off
any sort of ending such as .com) is entered after the @ symbol getmxrr() fails, but checkdnsrr()
returns "TRUE". In my testing I found that by converting the domain to an IP Address
first, and then running it through checkdnsrr() it appears to function correctly. I realize that
this is probably unnecessary due to the fact that such a domain wouldn't pass the initial
rational expression in the above example. But maybe this will help some of you who are using
checkdnsrr() in some other way. :-)
