The notes to the manual is *not* the place for bug reports. That was clear in the instructions for the form you used to submit your note. Use bugs.php.net instead. Also, that Netscape has problems w/ Unicode chars is *not* a PHP problem (PHP works on the server side), but a rendering problem in the client side. I have observed the same problem w/ static HTML pages using the Unicode content type. And then there is also the rendering problems in Netscape w/ complex tables, but you sure know that one. I would suggest checking other resources (the Adv-HTML list may be a good one), to see reports of the problem you are observing. Also, it will be good if you analyze more closely the problem before deciding what part of the total system is failing. Your note will be removed. --- kpmm2000@hotmail.com wrote: > Session BREAK!! > > session_start() and/or session.auto_start = 1; in > php.ini will break HTML pages served with Unicode > character set under Netscape: > > <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; > charset=UTF-8"> > > > Under Netscape you will get blank BOXES on your HTML > pages for a few seconds then automatically convert > back to normal.
