See the msg at the following URL: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-international/2000JanMar/0078.html In particular (quoting from the URL above): "... Many users are still using Netscape 4.X, which has problems with Unicode when the language is one that cannot be presented using Times and Courier. ..." As I mention before, it seems more a shortcoming/bug/misfeature of the browser you are using rather than a bug in PHP. But, if you have info to the contrary, do submit it to bugs.php.net and indicate clearly the differences w/ the known problem indicated in the URL I am quoting above. BTW, google.com was simple to use, and got me to the msg with the info (that I've read some time ago) very quickly. Another resource that can be useful to you. --- kpmm2000@hotmail.com wrote: > Session BREAK!! > > session_start() and/or session.auto_start = 1; in > php.ini will break HTML pages served with Unicode > character set under Netscape: > > <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; > charset=UTF-8"> > > > Under Netscape you will get blank BOXES on your HTML > pages for a few seconds then automatically convert > back to normal.
