This doc is faulty, saying:
> Identical to the date() function except that the time
> returned is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
where the date() function says
> T Timezone setting of this machine
gmdate('T') does NOT return the Timezone setting of the machine. Instead it returns the
machine's description of GMT, which may or may not be "GMT"
