forget about this function....
Tested it in PHP 5.0.2 and:
- To use it you have to validate the document against a DTD (XSD does not work... WHY!!!???)...
- If you create an XML document on the fly you have to validate the document after each node you
add.... (jeeez....)
- does not work well at all...
To get an element by ID use:
DOMXPath->query("id('SEARCH_STR_ID')")
Yeah... and LEARN XPATH!!! you can't be serious about XML if you don't learn Xpath....
