Bens,
I beg your pardon. Your example is correct. It's the "Editor's Note" which
is incorrect. Sorry if I confused anyone.
BTW, pg_last_oid is generally just a bad idea and should be avoided. Use NEXTVAL() or CURRVAL()
instead.
