Couldn't get php to compile with mysqli on my redhat 7.2 linux install. Got multiple
"undefined reference to `mysql_stmt....'" error messages on make. (configure ok).
Finally found out, that the mysql_config script didn't work as expected on my install.
It's supposed to return the full paths to your libs.
It looks like this doesn't work properly in some cases.
You can try to edit the mysql_config script so it returns an absolute path to your libraries and
include dirs. (Edit the end of the variables at the end of the script and comment out the fix_path
calls).
It worked for me !
