in some cases you can simply use serialize instead of recursivemakehash().

$tmp = array();
foreach($input as $a => $b)
$tmp[$a] = serialize($b);
$newinput = array();
foreach(array_unique($tmp) as $a => $b)
$newinput[$a] = $input[$a];
return $newinput;
}
