note 47190 added to function.preg-replace

If i want to search for all the Url's on a Page and replace them with another url, I can't manage to do it, If I search for http:// and replace with myscript.php?url=http:// that works to an extent, but for the majority of links, there is no http:// as the link is local.. How can i get this to work?
