To get mysql support with php v. 5.0.2 zip distribution with Apache 2, I had to do the following. This will stop the "Unable to Load Dynamic library 'C:\PHP\ext\php_mysql.dll - The specified module could not be found" error when starting Apache. Assuming php installed in c:\php. 1. copy libmysql.dll to c:\WINTNT\system32 2. in c:\WINNT\php.ini, set extension_dir = "c:\php\ext" 3. In the same php.ini file, uncomment extension=php_mysql.dll Note: Even though libmysql.dll was originally in c:\php and c:\php was in my PATH, mysql support didn't work until I copied the .dll into c:\WINNT\system32. Go figure. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.mysql.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+47543 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+47543&report=yes Reason: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+47543&report=yes&reason=bad+code Reason: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+47543&report=yes&reason=spam Reason: useless example -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+47543&report=yes&reason=useless+example Reason: contains commercial links -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+47543&report=yes&reason=contains+commercial+links Reason: useless note -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+47543&report=yes&reason=useless+note Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+47543&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
