I always receive the following message while connecting to the MySQL Server via mysql extension:
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Client does not support authentication protocol
requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in [xx.php] on line [xx].
The server environment is: Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition; php 5.0.2 with CGI mode
configuration; MySQL Server 4.1.7.
While using mysqli extension, all has done without any issue. May I have to use mysqli instead of
mysql??
