In this tutorial, and, I believe, the pages listed here and at apache, if you copy and paste changes directly from the webpage into the changes to hhtpd.conf it WILL NOT WORK. For some reason, even though httpd.conf defaults to opening in notepad, it still recognises "smartquotes" ("66" and "99") - the difference is more or less invisible to the naked eye in notepad, but leaving them in will throw up errors and means that the apache server will not restart. Everything else copies over just fine - just remember to delete any pasted quotation marks and add them in again manually. ---- Reason: bad code
