maybe I am missing something, but if I use this:
<?
$nums = array(1, 2 ,5);
$new_array = array_pad($nums, $count, 0);
$sum = array_sum($new_array);
echo $sum;
?>
it will simply output 8 every time, no matter the value of $count....
