Is it possible to use proc_open to run an interactive application such as nslookup for example. A session will be set up for the on-Web end user to allow the user to send successive commands to nslookup and receive results. We want to keep the same instance of nslookup for the entire duration of the user session. My experiments seem to indicate that the process started by proc_open will terminate with each http transaction. But I am not totally convinced. pwang, Ohio ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.proc-open.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+48342 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48342&report=yes Reason: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48342&report=yes&reason=bad+code Reason: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48342&report=yes&reason=spam Reason: useless example -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48342&report=yes&reason=useless+example Reason: contains commercial links -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48342&report=yes&reason=contains+commercial+links Reason: useless note -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48342&report=yes&reason=useless+note Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+48342&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
