I'm new to PHP scripting and web programming in general, though I have lots of C/C++ experience as well as Unix scripting with ksh, Perl, etc. I'm trying to bring up a web site using Geeklog (www.theoarfamily.net), and am also trying to incorporate into that site a recipe program written in PHP (not presently active on the page). I've just about got it, except that I seem to be running into some session issues, where it seems that Geeklog's session tracking code is in conflict with what the recipe program is trying to do. Recipe tries to: session_cache_limiter('must-revalidate'); session_start(); session_register($g_sm_session_id); But I get an error when I try to execute session_start() when the page is embedded in the Geeklog header and block structure (which has already done some sort of session logging). If I turn it off, the page looks fine, but I seem to lose track of who I am from page to page (which is the point of session logging I suppose). The question: Is there a way to "embed" a second session within the context of the first? If a second session cannot be run within the context of the first, how do I log the recipe session info across page accesses?
