note 48450 rejected from function.mysqli-connect by nlopess

Note Submitter: pobzeb at direcway dot com ---- I tried both examples *exactly* as they appear above but something is not working. I even added outputs before each line to see what was wrong. It displays all of the outputs untill it tries to make the connection using: $mysqli = new mysqli(...); This line does not appear to be working. However, I am not getting any errors from it. The page prints my outputs untill that line and then nothing else happens. I have more outputs after this line, but they never get executed. I am using PHP5 and MySQL 4.1.7. Both work correctly on their own but not together. Any suggestions? Thanks, Pobzeb Armerding
