How about an example of how to use is_uploaded_file for one of the modern versions of PHP?
<?php
if (is_uploaded_file($_FILES['file']['tmp_name'])) {
preprint_r($_FILES);
exit;
}
?>
The form MUST contain an "enctype" entry like the one below:
<?php
<form action="" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<input name="file" type="file" size="50" />
<input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit" />
</form>
?>
