When setting a cookie with multiple sub-domains, do not append the leading dot to the domain (set
the domain as "example.com"). This works in Internet Explorer (tested with IE6 in Windows
and IE5 in Mac), Mozilla (tested in 1.5) and Mozilla Firebird (tested in 0.7).
When we appended the dot, we were unable to read cookies from other subdomains.
