mysql_query seems to have some problems running from within a Class structure. I have to run mysql_select_db() before every time I run certain queries such as "SHOW COLUMNS FROM mytable" Doesn't this sort of defeat the purpose of deprecating mysql_db_query()? The new methods would be fine with me if they worked. I've had a custom-trimmed down phpmyadmin type program that I've used for a long time that makes use of mysql_db_query() and it worked just fine until I tried converting it to the newly recommended method. ---- Manual Page -- http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-db-query.php Edit -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=edit+48984 Delete -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48984&report=yes Reason: bad code -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48984&report=yes&reason=bad+code Reason: spam -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48984&report=yes&reason=spam Reason: useless example -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48984&report=yes&reason=useless+example Reason: contains commercial links -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48984&report=yes&reason=contains+commercial+links Reason: useless note -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=delete+48984&report=yes&reason=useless+note Reject -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php?action=reject+48984&report=yes Search -- http://master.php.net/manage/user-notes.php
