I was troubled for a while both using fputs and fwrite because I wasn't getting a linefeed
despite using \n and \r\n
in the end it turned out to be the quotes. Seems if you use a single quote ' the \n\r is not
interpretted. Only with double quotes does the newline occur...
Though not sure why...
